An open day is being held at Garwnant Visitor Centre on the southern edge of Bannau Brycheiniog, Brecon Beacons National Park on March 16, 10am - 4pm, to showcase the events and activities of community interest company Walking the Brecon Beacons.

WTBB aka Walking the Brecon Beacons, we are driven by our passion for the environment, physical and mental health, spending time in the great outdoors, continuing to develop an inclusive community. Founded in 2016, director Dai Powell, and joined by Janine Price and Carl Llewellyn along with a supportive admin team Chris Thomas, Olivia Price and Lindee Meredith.
Our mission is to create a thriving space where individuals from all walks of life can come together to share their love for nature, engage in outdoor activities, and support each other on their personal journeys both in person and online. Through responsible practices and education, we aim to leave a positive impact on the environment for generations to come.
Nature has so much to offer, and we encourage our members to explore and appreciate the wonders of the Brecon Beacons and Wales. Whether it’s hiking, wildlife observation, we encourage all forms of outdoor exploration and activities.
We celebrate diversity and aim to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone to share their stories, knowledge, and love for the outdoors. We believe in learning from each other. We organise a variety of events and activities, such as guided hikes, nature cleanups, educational workshops, and mindfulness sessions.

These gatherings will deepen our connection with nature but also strengthen the bond within our community. We work with local outdoor providers such as ROC Outdoor Adventure to provide professionally led activities. We support the four mountain rescue teams within the park by fundraising and collaboration. Businesses can advertise on our website. Our growing Facebook group has over 32K members, we recently formed as a community company and have recently filmed to appear on ITV Coast and Country in March, which will be aired on15th March.
We are holding an open day at our base, at The Visitor Centre, Forest Holidays, Garwnant on 16th March 2024,everyone is welcome.
