Group members were invited to the free event on Saturday 3rd June 2023 to meet up with other like-minded group members and join in on a choice of optional two group walks. It was great to see some members who also came along to enjoy the beautiful views and facilities at The Visitor Centre. It was such a lovely surprise to meet two group members who had travelled from Holland the night before and came along to say hello. Sarah and her lab drove from Hampshire to join us.

We had a limited supply of group merchandise on display which was very popular. It's amazing to see how far the group's patches, car stickers, and t-shirts travel and get tagged on social media.
The walking routes were a beginner's route on Mynydd Illtyd and an advanced route on Fan Frynych which are both personal favourites of mine because of the views. The walks were led by trained mountain leaders Rob and Gail from Crosfields Outdoors https://www.crosfieldoutdoors.wales/ A big thank you to Crosfields Outdoors and both Rob and Gail. Everyone enjoyed both routes - humans and well-behaved dogs too! Group members and pets travelled from various places in Wales and England.

We returned to the centre after the walks and enjoyed refreshments. It was great to see and hear new friendships forming after time in the mountains together.
WTBB has over 30k members on Facebook and a growing community on Instagram. We had a limited supply of group merchandise on display which proved very popular. It's amazing to see how far the group patches, car stickers, and t-shirts travel and get tagged on social media.
The benefits of being a member of the group are endless, from meeting like-minded people to sharing outdoor advice, route tips/suggestions, and more. Group Members receive discounts on various outdoor activities, route books, some retail outlets, and more!
