Members of WTBB / Walking The Brecon Beacons visited the crash of the Canadian Wellington Bomber crash site at Carreg Goch on Remembrance Sunday, led by Chris Thomas of ROC Outdoors.

It was very moving listening to a verse at the memorial site and laying a wreath on behalf of WTBB & ROC Outdoors. Canadian crewed Wellington MF509 crashed in the Brecon Beacons in south Wales on November 20th 1944 with the loss of all six crew members.

The weather was challenging and visibility poor but the group very much enjoyed the day. Chris is a great guide sharing information on history, nature and flora. We plan to revisit on a clear day to take in some views.
